1. Assessment:
Upon returning the rented item, it undergoes inspection for damage or stains beyond normal wear and tear. While normal wear and tear is expected and accepted, significant damage or stains may result in additional charges.
2. Deposit:
The initial deposit, for example, £100, serves as a security measure for such instances. Minor damage or stains removable with standard cleaning may not incur extra charges, or only a fraction of your deposit may be utilized.
3. Charges for Significant Damage:
In cases of significant damage or stains requiring special treatment or irreparable, a portion or the entirety of your deposit may cover repair or cleaning costs. Should these costs exceed your deposit, you may be responsible for the additional expense.
4. Communication:
You'll be promptly informed by the rental service regarding any issues and the deducted amount from your deposit for repairs or cleaning. In instances of severe damage, they may provide an invoice or a detailed breakdown of incurred costs. -
Absolutely! If you rent an item and find that you can't bear to part with it, you can purchase it.
